TLRPAC Endorses Browning for 5th Court of Appeals
AUSTIN – Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC (TLRPAC) today endorsed John Browning of Dallas in his campaign for the 5th Court of Appeals.
“Each election cycle, TLRPAC supports judicial candidates who understand the importance of a fair, efficient and honest legal system to Texas families and businesses,” TLRPAC Chairman Richard J. Trabulsi Jr. said. “John Browning is a successful, skilled and experienced litigator whose commitment to upholding the rule of law and willingness to serve his fellow Texans make him the best candidate for Place 11 on the 5th Court of Appeals.”
Browning is an attorney in private practice, with nearly 30 years’ experience practicing law with extensive trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts throughout Texas. He is currently a partner at Passman & Jones in Dallas, and was previously a partner in the Dallas offices of several national and Texas-based law firms. Browning also operated his own firm for nearly 10 years.
Browning is a member of the State bars of Texas and Oklahoma, the Dallas Bar Association, Rockwall County Bar Association – where he also served as president – and the Collin County Bar Association. He is chair of the Texas Bar Journal Editorial Advisory Board, has served two terms on the State Bar Grievance Committee, and was appointed by the Supreme Court of Texas to the State Bar Professional Ethics Committee. Browning is a member of the State Bar Litigation and Appellate sections and treasurer of the Computer and Technology Section.
Browning received bachelor’s degrees in history and comparative literature from Rutgers University, and a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law, where he received awards for legal writing and advocacy.
